Sunsets and all year round entertaining has been taken to a new level at this home in Runway Bay on the Gold Coast. This home posed some tricky design characteristics which required us to use the pre-engineered Stratco Riser bracket to attach to the house. This ensured we had the optimum ceiling height for the outdoor area to accentuate the waterfront views. To help with light into the house, a section of the roof is an open pergola to allow natural sunlight into the downstairs areas.

We have also installed full length Stratco Ambient outdoor blinds to protect the area from light wind and rain.

Outdoor entertaining has been taken to the next level with this Outback Patio addition in Nerang on the Gold Coast.
With long roof spans of 6.3m creating an uncluttered look, this outdoor area is close to 60m2 and has been a valuable addition to this home.

Our recent patio at this acreage oasis was in Northern NSW in the Tweed region. 
We installed this extensive Cooldek flat patio along the whole length of the house measuring at over 31m long and a adding combined undercover area of 112m2 to this home.
We incorporated a non standard roof pitch on the patio to match the roof pitch of the house and utilised the Cooldek Insulated roofing for the clean flat ceiling. This patio has completely transformed the outdoor living for the home owner.

This homeowners living space has been doubled with the addition of a 44m2 Stratco Cooldek Flat Patio creating an outside dining area and lounge room.

​On this project we attached to the fascia as there was enough head clearance to ensure the patio was not too low.
When considering to go either 'facia attached' or a 'flyover' the main consideration is the amount of 'head room' you will have. Each home is different and will depend on individual circumstances. 

The advantage of attaching a patio to the fascia is that it can be significantly more cost effective than a flyover as a rear beam, roof brackets and the extra roof to overlap your house room is not required.

A patio and deck is a perfect way to create a usable outdoor living space, something we all strive for when we live on the Gold Coast, Logan or South Brisbane. Our recent project in Southport, Gold Coast utilised the popular Stratco Cooldek Insulated Flyover patio with a Pacific Crows Ash deck.

The deck uses 90mm boards, a premium picture frame finish, boxed in stairs and bench seating with removable top for extra storage.

With wetter than usual times in SEQ an outdoor undercover area that doesn't leak is a necessity! Our client in Robina had a very small 'alfresco' area with no area to entertain in all seasons. 

We utilised the versitile Cooldek insulated flat roofing and attached this to the house via the fascia. This saved considerable cost compared to a flyover, but integrates seamlessly into the house.

What started as an empty backyard, has ended with more than double the living space this home originally had.
The project started out with one of our most common and elegant designs - Flyover Cooldek Insulated Patio with bold Merbau posts.

Then after we left, this home owner took the project to the NEXT LEVEL with timber look tiling, semi frameless glass balustrading, added a floor to ceiling partial wall to mount a TV and provide a 'room' feel, furnishing off with a super comfy couch and large outdoor dining table.

This project has totally transformed the way outdoor living is now experienced in this household.

An uncovered deck provides a beautiful way to take advantage of the great Gold Coast Winter sun However, a roof over the top is a MUST for any other time of the year!

On this project in Surfers Paradise, our customer had recently had their deck renovated with new decking boards and wanted to protect this while having an outdoor space to use all year round.
